Year 7 Camp

Location: Crab Claw Island Resort

Duration: 2 nights, 3 days

Theme: Students will stay in cabins at the resort and the focus is challenge by choice. They will participate in a range of different low level challenge activities.  This camp is designed to build relationships between the students, as well as the Homeroom Teachers, and to build a sense of community within the Year Level. Students will participate in activities that help them identify their strengths and also help them to develop a sense of self-identity. The activities will focus on team work, self-esteem, trust and communication. 

The camp is conducted early in the year so that students and staff have the opportunity to get to know one another in a relaxed, casual environment.

Activities include: 

  • Archery
  • Beach Activities (fishing/ crabbing / beach volleyball)
  • Circus Workshop Unicycle Classes
  • Wet Play Adventure Area (slip and slide/ blow up giant twister/ dunking splash game)
  • Evening Karaoke and Year 7 Disco Night
  • Beach Fire
  • Damper Making & Evening Fire Stick Demonstration (Burning Circus)
