Creative Arts Festival

Every year the community comes together to celebrate a year’s worth of artistic achievements at our annual Creative Arts Festival. This event is always a highlight on the College calendar; the event truly encapsulates the festive culture of the College as it showcases the students work from Years 7-12 from within the Arts and Technology learning areas.

Classrooms, Computer Labs and Art studios become gallery exhibition space and the school’s pavilion is transformed into a celebratory universe with music, lights, lanterns, sculptures, and artwork. Sound and lights help set the stages to dazzle audiences with the preforming talents of the Dance, Drama and Music learners. Tasty treats allow guests to experience the culinary delights generated by our Cooking students. A true celebration of the amazing creative talents of the Colleges students from Year 7-12 in the Creative Arts.

Creative Arts Trip

Every year, Stage 2 Visual Art, Drama and Creative Arts (Media Arts) students embark on an adventure to Sydney to feast on some of Australia’s best Visual and Performing Arts exhibitions and experiences. The purpose of the trip is to expose students the diversity of the Arts, focusing on the varied cultural opportunities (performance and visual) that Sydney has on offer. For many, there will be many first experiences!! First time on a train, first time seeing our famous landmarks like the Opera House and the Sydney Harbor Bridge, first time seeing a Van Gogh or a Picasso painting, and the first time to the theatre. In Sydney, students are broken into two subject areas and participate in a range of planned activities and workshops run though organisations such as ABC studio, NIDA, Sydney Theatre Company, Brett Whitely Studio, Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Art Gallery NSW to mention a few. This is a once in a lifetime cultural feast, setting up students for creative success in their final years of course work here at the College.
